Nani’s Jersey to be screened at International Indian Toronto Film Festival on August 11

Nani’s superhit film Jersey will be screened at the International Indian Film Festival on August 11 in Toronto.

Nani and Shraddha Srinath’s Jersey will be screened at the International Indian Film Festival of Toronto 2020.

Popular Telugu film Jersey, starring Nani and Shraddha Srinath, has been selected for screening at the International Indian Film Festival in Toronto (IIFFT) this year. According to IIFFT’s website, the film will be screened on August 11 at 7.30 pm. The film’s production house, Sithara Entertainments took to Twitter to share the happy news and stated that they are proud of Jersey.

Nani, who played the role of a cricketer in Jersey, shared Sithara Entertainments’ tweet and expressed his joy with a smiley. Directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, the sports film became a superhit venture when it released in 2019.

Reports suggest that the Jersey team will be attending the film festival in Toronto. However, there has been no official information on that front.

Here’s the post:

The International Indian Film Festival Toronto will begin from August 9 and will go on till August 15. Apart from Jersey, Tamil film Kaithi and Malayalam film Trance have also been selected for screening at the film festival.

Kaithi features Karthi as the hero while Trance has Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya in the lead roles.

Coming back to Jersey, the film is about cricketer Arjun who marries Sarah and had to give up on his dream. When his son looks up to him, Arjun revives his cricketing career and aims to make it to the Indian team. How his life changes when he plays the finals of the Ranji Trophy forms the story.

Jersey is now being remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
